John Delaney has competed in 21 consecutive Bostom Marathons with a best time in the 2:30 region, “when I wasn’t so old”. Now, 46, he was here to post a Masters division qualifying time so he can stretch his streak to 22. He also succeeded, at 3:25:20. “I’ve been in over 70 marathons and seen a lot of courses,” Delaney, wearing his lucky Greater Boston Track Club T-shirt, said “I liked this one a lot. There weren’t many inclines, the aid stations were everywhere you wanted one, and the mile markers were easy to see. It reminded me of Boston in the way it was organized”.

I have done Long Beach a couple of times before, but I have chosen do to this year to celebrate the running of my 30TH MARATHON. Yes, that's right...this is race #30 for me. I love this course because it is big enough of an event to have the crowds and energy, but it is small enough to have that local flavor, see the kids helping out, and I love that finish line.
Please look for me and wish me well on the course. I am going for a personal best!!!
Cheers,Pattie Keller
