We meet every Saturday at 7 AM at Marina Vista Park in Long Beach (on Eliot St. near Colorado St. right by the end of Marine Stadium) Free parking on street or in Marine Stadium parking lot. Find location.

Who: The Beach Runners are a fun group of people, from the total beginners to experienced marathoners, preparing for the Long Beach International Bank Marathon and Half Marathon
What: The Beach Runners Marathon Training Program is a safe, fun, professionally coached, 21-week Marathon and Half Marathon training program, using the MarathonTraining.TV proven system featuring the ChiRunning® techniques and yoga. We specialize in working with first time marathoners and half marathoners, as well as experienced runners.
Where: The Beach Runners will meet every Saturday, starting May 24, 2008, Marina Vista Park at the end of Marine Stadium Click Here for Goggle Map. The distance of each Saturday run will vary depending on the schedule.
When: 7:00 A.M. every Saturday starting May 24, 2008

Your coaches are certified running coaches, yoga and many other disciplines. They are very experienced and specialize in teaching beginners while helping accomplished runners achieve new PRs and other personal goals.

ChiRunning is about alignment and relaxation, which when combined allows you to cooperate with the force of gravity...offering no resistance to the forward pull. Steve Mackel, CHt, is the Beach Runners' Head Coach and Program Director. He is a Certified ChiRunning® Instructor, ChiWalking® Instructor, USA Triathlon Coach, USA Cycling Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Massage Therapist, multi marathon finisher, ultra marathoner and competitive age group triathlete. He will supervise and facilitate the training program.
Gary Smith is the Beach Runners' Coach. He is a Certified ChiRunning® Instructor, Certified Yoga Instructor, ultra marathoner and multi marathon finisher.
